Hamilton Beach Brands

Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is an American manufacturer of home appliances, air purifiers, and commercial restaurant equipment marketed primarily in the United States, Canada, and Mexico including: Blenders, Mixers, Toasters, Slow cookers, Irons and Air purifiers. Until sometime in the 1980s the company’s products were marketed under the brand name “Hamilton Beach Scovill”, reflecting a merger that occurred in the 1940s.

Hamilton Beach Brands was founded in 1910 by the inventor Frederick J. Osius in Racine, Wisconsin. Osius had no desire to name the company after himself and instead named his company after two of his employees, Louis Hamilton and and Chester Beach, for which he paid them both $1000.

In the coffee market, Hamilton Beach Brands produce coffee makers, coffee grinders and coffee percolators.

Hamilton Beach Brands have continually strived to make domestic coffee brewing easier and more user friendly. One of their popular filter coffee machines, the “Flex Brew”, acts as a regular, bulk brew filter coffee machine as well as a single serve coffee maker, with two separate designated compartments in the machine. Their “Front Fill” filter coffee machine has its water tank and ground coffee chamber located at the front of the machine, as customers mentioned in a survey that it was frustrating having to pull out the coffee maker from underneath the cabinet in order to fill it up.

Some of the main competitors of Hamilton Bech Brands are Black and Decker, De’Longhi and Cuisinart.
