This type of kettle is extremely popular and useful for pour over coffee brewing. Compared to a regular goose neck kettle for which water needs to be separately heated or heated on the stove, an automatic goose neck kettle acts as a regular kettle in that it heats water using electricity but goes one step further for coffee brewing by heating to specific specifications. This is extremely useful as optimum coffee brewing temperature is below boiling and so coffee is burnt when it is brewed with boiled water from a regular kettle.
